PrAEctiCe presented during the European Digital Innovation Hubs study visit

On the 18th of July 2023, a study visit within the framework of the GIZ DTC SKIIVE project,  Prof. Domen Mongus at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, University of Maribor, in Slovenia, presented the PrAEctiCe project to the Kenyan delegation.

The delegation consisted of representatives of GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit)SKIIVE (Strengthening Kenyan Intermediaries and Innovation Ecosystem), the Ministry of ICT of Kenya and the ACTS consortiumAmong the representatives were SKIIVE Team Leader Kudzai M Mubaiwa, and SKIIVE Digital Innovation Hub expert Sylvia Mukasa.

 

The Kenyan delegation recently visited Maribor as part of a study to gather information about Digital Innovation Hubs specifically centred around the Agriculture, Energy, and ICT sectors. The ultimate aim of this visit was to share knowledge as they aim to establish an efficient and self-sufficient green Digital Innovation Hub in Kenya.  The visit included the University of Maribor presenting the PrAEctiCe project, particularly the living lab in Kisumu, Kenya. This is expected to be a valuable resource for both countries, promoting knowledge-sharing between them. During the presentation, Prof. Domen Mongus, who serves as the coordinator for the PrAEctiCe project at the University of Maribor, elaborated on the main objectives and outcomes of the project relating to the decision support tool being developed by the University of Maribor to assist smallholder farmers in East Africa in their agroecological transition.
