The collaboration includes specific activities aimed at facilitating and supporting the exchange of knowledge and good practices, as well as dissemination and communication activities that can benefit both parties.
This collaboration also promotes the sharing of best practices and information about success stories with their wider networks and regions of operation through social media and other forms of wider communication, ensuring that the EU and African partners benefit from knowledge exchange.
The FrontAg Nexus project aims to improve livelihoods and reduce the pressure on Water, Energy, Food, and Ecosystem (WEFE) resources. In addition, it addresses the crucial issue of food and nutrition security in the Mediterranean region by incorporating frontier agricultural solutions such as hydroponics, aquaponics, Agro-photovoltaic, insect farming, and Vermiculture. Its core concerns also include job creation, entrepreneurship, and skills enhancement.
This agreement was signed by Margherita Trestini, General Manager, Apodissi Limited, on behalf of the PrAEctiCe project, and Prof. Gertrud Buchenrieder, University of the Bundeswehr Munich, Coordinator of FrontAg Nexus, and Prof. Dr. Eva Kern, President of the University of the Bundeswehr Munich, on behalf of the FrontAg Nexus project.
